About the Position:

We are looking for a friendly, hardworking salesperson with nursery experience to join the team and help take Schwope Brothers Tree Farms West Coast to the next level. If you are self-motivated, great at building long-term relationships, optimistic, and excited for a new challenge, this could be a great opportunity for you!

Key Accountabilities:

• Order Entry – Enter, allocate, and confirm orders in a timely manner.
• Order Shipment – Confirm desired ship dates, build combo loads, interact with trucking brokers to book the truck, call customers for freight approval, and provide accurate billing and contact info to the broker.
• Quality Control – Check Quality of material for each order on the dock before it ships. Notify customers of any quality issues and be prepared to suggest substitutions. Be familiar with customers’ individual quality requirements and help set expectations.
• Expert Resource – Know our product lines, familiarity with tree cultivars and potential substitutions, be a resource for both nursery material and shipping market conditions.
• Account Management – Develop business relationships with outside reps and customers with prompt, friendly, professional communication.

Essential Job Duties:

• Answer incoming office phone calls
• Updating Salesforce by logging calls, moving orders through sales funnel, etc.
• Helping to manage the shipping board
• Inspecting crops and sending photos to Outside Reps and customers
• Tour customers around our facilities when they come to visit

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong computer skills, software proficiency including Microsoft Office products
• Aptitude for learning new software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills

Minimum Qualifications:

• Required: 3 years of experience in Nursery or related field
• Required: Customer service and sales experience and skills
• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Highly Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Preferred: CRM Experience; Salesforce
